2008 and works in progress
These works were created for a room-sized installation. All of the images were painted on large panels and then collaged into a graphic novel format in grand scale. The completed work was shown at The Lowe Art Gallery, located in the Shaffer Art Building, at Syracuse University from April 8 through May 11, 2008.

SUN DOWN / PUESTA DEL SOL. Kensington section of Philadelphia. 68 x 24ft This was my first large-scale commission. I had a small army of assistants, half of whom had been instructed under my wing for several months in an after-school program. The other half of my crew consisted of the neighborhood kids, instructor Simon Grigsby, and Chris Hartshorne. Planning began in June, painting began in mid July, and final touches were made by the end of September.

UNTITLED. In the vicinity of Broad Street and U.S. Route 1. 4 x 60ft The Stenton Mural was part of a one-day park cleanup, coordinated by the Philadelphia Horticultural Society. It was a quick organic process. Painting was completed within 5 hours with the assistance of two experienced painters and aproximately 30 - 40 volunteers.

KNOWLEDGE IS POWER, IMAGINATION IS FREEDOM. 15 x 105ft The never-ending mural. Painting began in late October '02. I had limited time due to my teaching schedule and having only one assistant. Needless to say, progress was slow...and it kept getting colder and colder and colder. My wife Amy and I put in long hours on the scaffold, and painting dragged into the new year.
